Eye Examinations

EYE EXAMINATIONS

There is much more to an eye test at our practice than checking if you need glasses or contact lenses.
One of our fully qualified optometrists will carry out a detailed assessment of the health of your eyes, because hidden conditions could seriously affect your sight if they are not detected and treated. The health check can pick up early signs of eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataract and age-related macular degeneration, as well as underlying general health problems such as diabetes and high blood pressure.
We are proud of the technology we bring to the practice. Our latest retinal camera allows instant high-resolution imaging of the optic nerve head, blood vessels and retina, and this can help in the detection and monitoring of many diseases.

We will explain any findings, giving you reassurance and advice where appropriate. With our strong links to the local doctors and eye surgeons, when necessary we will refer a patient on for further medical investigation.

Should you need glasses or contact lenses, you will be given a full explanation of the different options available and the costs involved.

Eye Examinations for Children

Children’s vision is priceless, so it’s important that they have their eyes tested regularly by a qualified optometrist. We regularly see children, many who have often been sent from the local ophthalmic surgeons and schools. We check the health of their eyes for often hidden problems such as lazy eyes, where early detection and treatment can lead to a permanent improvement in the vision.

We have a great choice of spectacles for children of all ages, ranging from our designer brands to our completely free collection.

We pride ourselves in delivering a life-long service that ensures our patient’s vision is carefully monitored and cared for at every stage of life. With our dedicated expertise and in-depth examinations, you and your family can rest assured your eye health and visual performance is in good hands.
